TikTok Notes is a separate photo-and-text app from the same company, launched in a limited set of countries. Its posts are images with captions rather than videos. Where a Notes link is publicly reachable, it is handled like a photo post; many are not reachable at all.

What Notes actually is
Notes is not a tab inside TikTok. It is its own app, built around still images and written captions, and it has only been released in a small number of countries.
That matters here because its links do not always follow the same pattern as tiktok.com video links, and some do not resolve from outside the countries where the app is available.
What the box accepts
- A public Notes post link, handled the same way as a TikTok photo slideshow.
- A regular tiktok.com link from an account that also posts to Notes — that is an ordinary TikTok post.
- What it refuses: links that need the Notes app installed, and links from regions where the app has not launched.
If your link is refused
Open the post in a browser first, signed out. If you cannot see it there, no downloader will be able to either — that is the same check worth running on any link that fails.
Long-pressing the image and choosing Save is a perfectly good fallback for a single picture.
What cannot be downloaded
- Notes links that require the app to open.
- Posts from countries where the app has not launched and the link does not resolve.
- Private accounts within Notes.
