Douyin is the Chinese version of TikTok, run by the same company on separate infrastructure with a separate library of videos. Paste a douyin.com or v.douyin.com link and it is processed exactly like a TikTok link, with the same formats offered.

Two apps, not one
Douyin and TikTok share an owner and a look, but they are separate products. An account on one does not exist on the other, and a video posted to Douyin will not be found by searching TikTok.
Practically, that means you need a Douyin link for Douyin content. Pasting a TikTok link expecting Douyin results, or the reverse, will not find anything.
Link formats that work
- The full address, douyin.com/video/ followed by a numeric id.
- The short share link, v.douyin.com, which the app produces by default.
- A link copied with extra tracking text around it — the address is extracted from the surrounding characters.
Where it is more likely to fail
Douyin applies region restrictions more aggressively than TikTok, and some videos are only served from inside mainland China. When that happens the request returns nothing, and there is no route around it from here.
Short v.douyin.com links also expire sooner than their TikTok equivalents, so copy and paste in one sitting rather than saving links for later.

- Expired v.douyin.com short links.
- Private accounts and deleted posts.

Do I need a Douyin account?
No. Public videos are fetched without signing in, the same as on TikTok.
Is the Douyin watermark removed too?
The same approach applies: the original upload is requested, and that file has no watermark on it.
Why do many Douyin links fail?
Region restrictions. A large share of Douyin content is served only within mainland China, and that block applies to us as well.
Can I get MP3 from a Douyin video?
Yes. The format choices are identical to those offered for TikTok posts.
